Summer is has arrived and it's time to fill up the fridge with delicious iced teas!

Here are some simple directions and great recommendations:

Super Fast Iced Tea

Do you want iced tea and want it now?

Brew a double strength cup of hot tea, allow it to steep for 2-4 minutes, and pour the hot liquid over a tall glass of ice. The hot tea will melt the ice, which will dilute it back to regular strength AND cool it at the same time. Top with some lemon, mint, or sugar depending on your style.

Over-Night Iced Tea

Brew a large batch of your favorite tea, let it cool down to room temperature and then move it to the fridge for a cool glass at any hour.

Fruit and roobios tea leaves can be left in the liquid for a day or two and will continue to strengthen in flavor. White, green, oolong and black teas can grow bitter if the leaves are left steeping for long periods, so these are best brewed for longer periods of time with caution, or to your known preference.

WHAT TEAS WORK?

Any tea can be iced, and we all have our own little idiosyncracies here. Personally I love iced Oriental Moon and iced Ceylon. Iced teas that are consistently popular with our staff and customers include:

Jungle Fire, Blood Orange, Blackberry, Lemon, Goji Berry, Moroccan Mint, Coconut, Peaches and Cream, Honeydew Melon, White Grape, Pear Mango, Lychee, Pineapple Mango, Flower of Hawaii, and Chai.

That's really a lot of tea, makes me thirsty.....
